Environmental management and communication in the European Union: towards a climate-neutral Europe

National University of Food Technologies,
Kyiv, Ukraine

EU Environmental Studies Project

The European Union is a global leader in environmentally friendly strategies, policies and practices. EU experience demonstrates that involving all interested parties, including EU authorities, national governments of member states, industry and citizens is crucial for success.

Effective management and communication on environmental challenges between all stakeholders contribute significantly to this success. Environmental management and communication is now a subject of research and teaching agenda in European universities.

Recognizing the critical importance of European Union experience for effective environmental policy, management and communication, our team has begun implementing European Union environmental policy and sustainable development strategy into the curricula of Master's students in environmental science at our university. We are now expanding this initiative to bachelor's programmes.
